FEELS

FEELS strike a perfect balance with their mix of angular guitars, arresting vocals, gut wrenching bass lines, and brittle drums. The band includes songwriter Shannon Lay, who released folk gem Living Water on Kevin Morby’s Woodsist label, and Laena Gerinomo, the daughter of Devo-drummer Alan Myers. In terms of legacy, that’s not bad, but FEELS have more in common with Sleater-Kinney, Priests, The Breeders and Bleached. Latest LP Post-Earth compresses post-apocalyptic reflections and battle cries into razor-sharp anthems.
