You could indeed recognize the bands newfound exploration of ambiance and noise a strange peace of sorts: it’s not what you call the zen-kind of peace, more like the alarming ‘silence before the storm’-kind. Indeed, a METZ’s unruly barrages of sound only hit harder after your cranium has been subjugated to the more ominous guitar repetitions.
